Nature, in all its panoramic glory is especially beautiful, revealing and inspiring when viewed in its smallest details. Every mountain, lake, and meadow is composed of details that dazzle the eye and astonish the heart; each flower, a symphony of color, form and detail that seems even more beautiful and magnificent than the whole.
Our effort is to provide you with images of nature that are true representations of the pleasures provided to us in our natural world. And, while our attention is upon the smallest details found in plants, animals, rocks, and minerals – the natural world - we attempt also to carry this attention to detail into our landscape photography. “Detail” is defined as that which is considered separately from the whole but is considered individually in relation to the whole. This site is about the details of nature and about the photography which brings these images to the viewer in a way that both entertains and informs him of the small and the expansive natural world.
The images offered to you on these pages are photographed in their natural setting on film and are not enhanced in the camera or computer. One exception to this is that some of the landscapes are shot digitally, but even these have not been color enhanced or changed in any way in any type of computer program.
